Private Practice + Business Coaching for Therapists.
Hi, my name is Sarah Bryski-Hamrick, and I’m an online Business Coach for Therapists.
You may be feeling overworked, frustrated, burnt out. I understand, and I’m here to help.
I help therapists open private practices that align with their values and help them hit their financial goals.
If you’re ready to build your dream private practice, schedule a complimentary consultation with me today.
My approach to private practice + business coaching for therapists.
Why are therapists stressed?
From grad school, you have been taught to expect a life of financial and emotional stress. Phrases like, “I’m a therapist, I can’t afford that,“ and “I’m a therapist, I can’t take time off“ are normalized.
You’ve worked jobs where you have had half of your pay go to someone else; you’ve had to run multiple groups per day along with individual sessions, treatment plans and progress notes; you are constantly being asked to take on more and guilt tripped if you don’t. Does any of this sound like you?
With loving kindness I say to you, you do not need to accept this.
Why do therapists need business coaches?
Therapists are taught they have to sacrifice a lot.
This is not true. Let that sink in.
I coach therapists who have had their labor exploited by bosses, supervisors, managers.
I love helping therapists learn how to live a happy life with financial security. My clients enjoy free time for relationships, hobbies + travel. They build practices that they love. Their work is fulfilling and burnout is a thing of the past.
The work you do is important, and it is hard. You should keep the money you earn, see clients you feel passionate about while making a comfortable, living wage.
You probably have the same questions that many therapists starting out in private practice have: Should I take insurance? What is my niche? Should I have a sliding scale or pro bono spots? Will I ever be comfortable talking about money?
Allow me to guide you along this unknown but learnable path.
Business Coaching FAQs.
What is the difference between a therapist and a coach?
A therapist is a licensed clinician trained in psychotherapy. Coaches can be certified, but it is not required.
Coaches help with actionable goals to achieve long term dreams, while therapists explore current and past issues that may be holding a client back. Therapists do not give advice, but they help a client see all the options. Coaches give feedback and provide the client with options that are proven to be effective for a successful outcome.
What does a business coach do?
A business coach takes a hands on approach in guiding the business owner, helping them create a business that aligns with their values and goals.
Why would a therapist need a business coach?
Therapists often internalize messages given to them by society. This includes ideas that they cannot have financial security, cannot take time off, cannot work too little, cannot have a sustainable schedule, need to see as many clients as they can fit into a day, etc.
I am here to help you unlearn this stigma, and build a private practice and suits your needs, making you a better clinician with a more fulfilling life.
How will we meet?
Our meetings will take place over Therapy Notes. You can access through the client portal.
How much do business coaching sessions cost?
30 minute session - $120 (only available outside of the US)
45 Minute session - $180
80 Minute session - $320
What is your cancellation policy?
Just as I value my clients’ time and hard earned money, I also value my own. The time we schedule together is sacred, and if you are cancelling your session with insufficient notice, you are taking time away from another client who potentially needs it. Because of this, I have a strict 48 hour cancellation policy. This means that any sessions cancelled within the 48 hour window, including “no-show“ sessions, will be charged $180.
